ring in the new year
Well, I have no idea where Tom is right this moment. He gets out of work at 7, but he's not home. He's probably at his mom's house. He rarely informs me when he does that. I made a list for him that is waiting downstairs on his pillow. It has the address, phone number, and hours of a local car wrecking place. It also has an ad for a really decent full time job and the websites for BOCES (where he could take a class and learn a trade). I'm just going to tell him flat out that either he makes an effort and tries to do something with his life {in turn, improving his son's life and mine} or he can go back to his mother. Where everything is done for him and no one really cares about what he's doing with himself. And if he doesn't take care of that damn car, I will. And honestly, I don't know which option he will choose. For a decision like this, you typically know the outcome ahead of time. *sigh*
I recently found out that Tom's sister has started sleeping with J. Which is completely wrong and actually illegal. She just turned 14 and J is 20. It was wrong for them to begin dating in the first place. If you want to hear my rant on that, you'll have to go to my other diary. Anyway, it's his parents' own fault that it happened. They allowed them to date and then allowed him to move in. I know this might sound hypocritical because that's what happened with Tom and I, but let me point out that I'm almost 18 and he just turned 20. I haven't told Tom. It's not something he'd want to hear, but he would definitely want to know. His parents need to know about it and do something about it. Otherwise the state just might. Unfortunately, the only way to prove anyone is having sex is to catch them in the act or if she gets pregnant. Did I mention J has a 2-year-old? Yeah, he's Bria's father.
