anger
My lil niece is in the hospital. Somehow she managed to get into gramma's Zol_oft and another medication. Gramma (Susie's mom) had taken them and left them on the counter or the table and gone to the bathroom. Sometime before she got out of the bathroom, Munchkin woke up and found them. So they took her to the ER. My guess is that they'll have to pump her stomach. She's not even 2.

What pisses me off is that this happens every morning. Not going to the ER, but her getting up unnoticed. She sleeps in her mother's room, but when she gets up nobody knows until she wakes someone up. She wanders the house doing whatever. It's her mother's responsibility to wake up with her. Every morning someone in that house has to stand next to Bub's bed and scream at her to change that baby's diaper and get up with her. It's the only way to get her attention. If she were allowed, she would sleep until 2:00 or later. What would have happened if Susie's mom had come out of the bathroom a little later and hadn't seen Bria? What if they didn't know what she had taken or that she was sick? That is blatant irresponsibility on the part of her mother. She had to be woken up to be told her daughter was going to the ER.

That makes me so angry - my parents too. Bria is only properly taken care of when she's with her father, which is only Wednesdays and every other weekend. I realize they weren't her mother's medications, but it was her mother's fault. God forbid she just wake up with her child. Or at least try to get her back in bed.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not just bitching. This is not the first incidence of neglect or bad parenting. It happens all the time. Bub doesn't know how to be a mother. Trust me, I'm not exaggerating because I'm angry. I'm sure you can find other entries in this diary about her horrible parenting skills. My other diary had even more info on that.

Munchkin better be ok. I think she will be. Funny how everyone else is more concerned about what she's up to every morning {and any other time} than her own mother.

*Update: Munchkin is doing ok. She didn't take enough to have her stomach pumped. They poked her with a lot of needles. Eventually, they used an IV and washed it out of her system. She's at home now probably sleeping.
